Project Description: Texas One Stop is a new service center in the Department of Enrollment Management that seeks to provide effective customer service to the student body with the goal of enhancing retention and graduation outcomes. The Texas One-Stop project combined the Registrar and Financial Aid counters into a single point of service where students can take care of both needs in one place. The project was located on the ground floor of Main in the suite formerly occupied by the Registrar’s office, which mostly worked stations with only a small counter and waiting area. Texas One Stop converted this suite into a spacious student lounge with comfortable seating areas so that students would want to spend time there. Clearly marked service stations are now grouped to provide different levels of service – from printing a transcript to discussing a complex financial aid issue.
