Temporary Construction Notice
An ADA-accessible pedestrian pathway through Winship Circle to the East Mall will be affected by construction from Jan. 12 to Jan. 31.
Pedestrian Pathway Impacts: From Jan. 12 to Jan. 31, the pedestrian ramp in Winship Circle heading west toward East Mall is closed, and pedestrians will need to use the stairs. A temporary ramp will take pedestrians through the Jackson School of Geosciences (JGB) patio. Please follow signage.
ADA Access Impacts: Due to the construction taking place at East Mall, the accessible path to cross through the East Mall between the F.L. Winship Drama Building (WIN) and JGB is temporarily unavailable. An alternate route is available inside the WIN building, where signage will be posted at key locations to assist with wayfinding.
- If traveling from San Jacinto Boulevard, use the ADA route by entering the celebrated entrance on the south side of WIN and proceeding west to the elevators. Take the elevators up to level “T,” then enter the B. Iden Payne Theatre lobby doors and follow the remainder of the construction path upon exiting. Please follow signage.
- If coming from Speedway, follow the ADA route by entering the B. Iden Payne Theatre. Then take the elevator down into WIN, travel east through the building to the celebrated entrance on the south side, and exit through those doors. Please follow signage.
Bicycle Impacts: Bike racks will be moved to the east side of WIN near Waller Creek and San Jacinto Boulevard.
