Project Dates
Project Summary: Construction activity will be taking place at the northwest block of Medical Arts Street, Dean Keeton Street, and Hampton Road from Friday, March 13, through August 2028.
Pedestrian and ADA Access Impacts: During this time, a section of the west sidewalk along Medical Arts Street will be closed. Pedestrians may cross to the east sidewalk at either the Dean Keeton Street crosswalk or the Medical Arts Square crosswalk to continue along Medical Arts Street. The east sidewalk on Hampton Road will also be closed.
Overhead protection will be installed along Dean Keeton Street between Hampton Road and Medical Arts Street. However, pedestrian routes in this area will remain open.
Roadway Impacts: Medical Arts Street will remain open to north- and southbound through traffic. However, drivers should expect lane shifts to accommodate construction.
Parking and Bus Impacts: There are no parking or bus impacts.
Bicycle Impacts: Overhead protection will be installed above the bike lane along Dean Keeton Street; however, the bike route will remain open. Bicyclists are also encouraged to refer to the City of Austin Bike Map.
Signage will be installed at key locations to assist with wayfinding. Due to the fluid nature of construction, this information is subject to change, but we will do our best to provide timely communication if changes are necessary.
