Project Summary
Project Summary: The Pharmacy Building (PHR) is receiving a new roof, along with upgrades to exhaust fans, guardrails, gutters, and lightning protection.
Project Location: Pharmacy Building (PHR), 2409 University Ave, Austin, TX 78712.
Roadway Impacts: A small section of University Avenue between Mary E. Gearing Hall (GEA) and PHR will be closed. Detour signs will direct traffic around GEA.
Bicycle Impacts: Cyclists will follow the same detour as vehicles.
Pedestrian and ADA Access Impacts: The sidewalk on the east side of University Avenue at PHR’s southwest corner will be closed. The sidewalk on the west side of University Avenue at GEA’s northeast corner will remain open with overhead protection in place. All GEA building entrances, including the ADA-accessible entrance on the east side of the building, will remain open.
Due to the fluid nature of construction, this information is subject to change, but we will do our best to provide timely communication if changes are necessary.
