Project Summary
Repairs are being made to the Disch-Falk Field outfield wall after damage from spring storms.
Project Location: 1300 E Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard, Austin, TX 78702 (Behind the Disch-Falk Field Outfield Wall, at intersection of Disch-Falk Road and Comal St.)
Project Impacts
Travel Impacts: From Nov. 3 through Jan. 2, a section of Disch-Falk Road will be reduced to one lane. Vehicles coming from Comal Street will be able to travel one-way heading west along this section of Disch-Falk Road. Travelers needing to head east will be rerouted to travel north back toward Comal Street or south toward E Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Pedestrian and ADA Access Impacts: The sidewalk on the south side of Disch-Falk Road will be open for the duration of the project. However, pedestrians will need to use the accessible path that is located at the corner of East 21st Street and the west of Comal Street.
Bicycle Impacts: Bicyclists can use the accessible path located at the corner of East 21st Street and the west of Comal Street. Bicyclists are encouraged to refer to the City of Austin Bike Map.
Parking Impacts: The field staff office parking lot east of Comal Street and the lot directly north of UFCU Disch-Falk Field will be unavailable. Alternative parking is at the East Campus Garage.
Signage will be installed at key locations to assist with wayfinding. Due to the fluid nature of construction, this information is subject to change, but we will do our best to provide timely communication if changes are necessary.
