Project Location: Norman Hackerman Building, located at 100 E 24th St, Austin, TX 78712.
Project Impacts
Pedestrian and ADA Access Impacts: Along East 24th Street, the north sidewalk and the patio entrance in front of NHB are both temporarily closed for repairs. Pedestrians who need accessible access should use the south side of East 24th Street and enter through the accessible entrance on the east side of the building. Signage will be installed at key locations to assist with wayfinding.
Travel Impacts: Due to construction materials and fencing, the north side of East 24th Street in front of the patio entrance of NHB will be blocked, reducing traffic to one lane.
Bicycle Impacts: The project will not impact existing bike lanes or bike racks. There are no designated bike lanes around this project. Bicyclists are always encouraged to refer to the City of Austin Bike Map.
Parking Impacts: The project will not impact bicycles.
Signage will be installed at key locations to assist with wayfinding. Due to the fluid nature of construction, this information is subject to change, but we will do our best to provide timely communication if changes are necessary.
