Project Dates
Project Summary
Road work on DeLoss Dodds Way is scheduled for March 17-21. The work will involve installing rumble strips and restriping the existing crosswalk to help slow down traffic and create a safer environment for pedestrians.
Project Location: DeLoss Dodds Way between San Jacinto Boulevard and Robert Dedman Drive.
Major Anticipated Outcomes/Benefits of Completed Project: Improvement of pedestrian safety.
Pedestrian Impacts: The eastbound and westbound sidewalks on DeLoss Dodds Way will remain open. However, pedestrians will have to cross at San Jacinto Boulevard or Robert Dedman Drive.
Travel Impacts: Work will alternate between the east and west sides of DeLoss Dodds Way. As the project progresses, parts of the road will shift from one lane to two, but traffic flow will remain unaffected.
Bicycle Impacts: Bike lanes will not be affected. Bicyclists are encouraged to refer to the City of Austin Bike Map.
Parking Impacts: Parking along DeLoss Dodds Way will be unavailable.
Bus Routes: Buses will not be affected and will remain on DeLoss Dodds Way. Please refer to the CapMetro schedule and map.
Signage will be installed at key locations to assist with wayfinding. Due to the fluid nature of construction, this information is subject to change, but we will do our best to provide timely communication if changes are necessary.
