Project Summary
The project involves replacing the existing Built-Up Gravel (BUR) roof system at the Jesse H. Jones Communication Center (CMA) with a 20-year warranted, fully adhered multi-ply modified bitumen roof system, installed over a cover board with insulation and a vapor barrier attached to the concrete deck. The project also requires MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) modifications, as well as access and site adjustments. Additionally, the work includes roof repairs at the CMB building, as detailed in the project documents.

Major Anticipated Outcomes/Benefits of Completed Project: Roof materials have been blowing off, impacting several windows, walkways, and patios. This construction will provide new roof plans and specifications to prevent further damage. The existing roof membrane's warranty and life cycle have expired.
Project Impacts
Pedestrian Impacts: Pedestrian will have overhead protection and signage around CMA Building.
Travel Impacts: No Impacts.
Bicycle Impacts: No impacts. Bicyclists are encouraged to refer to the City of Austin Bike Map.
Parking Impacts: Four parking spots in the alley will be for trash; Four spots on the North side on 25th Street..
Signage will be installed at key locations to assist with wayfinding. Due to the fluid nature of construction, this information is subject to change, but we will do our best to provide timely communication if changes are necessary.
